Our Employees of the Month for March 2010:
Rolando Aragon, Driver, and Yolanda Rubin,
Purchasing.
Our first winner,
Rolando Aragon, driver, has been with California
Supply for a long time; twice to be
precise. He originally came to work for us
in 1983, then he left to start his own trucking
business, and he came back in 2008.
Rolando is very conscientious when it comes to
making deliveries. He was nominated
because while making a delivery he noticed that
two of the pallets was marked differently then
the others. Turns out two pallets of the
wrong size carton had been mixed in with the
order. By calling in to the base, he was
able to deliver the "wrong" cartons to
the customer's other warehouse. Nothing
had to be returned to the warehouse and the
customer had cartons they needed. Good
job!
Our second winner is
Yolanda Rubin, Purchasing. Yolie was
nominated for two things: 1) the
purchasing clerk is out on medical leave and
Yolie has been processing the invoices, etc., in
her absence; 2) as everyone is aware, we are in
the midst of a corrugated increase - Yolie has
been working really hard to make sure everyone
(customers and us) were able to take the
advantage of the lower cost before the increases
went through.
This is just a couple
of examples of how our employees think outside the
box and stretch for the company.
It's our employees that make
California Supply such a outstanding company.

Employee of the Year 2009

This is the most prestigious
award that California Supply has
and all employees strive to win
it. However, in order to
become Employee of the Year, you
must first be an Employee of the
Month. This
award is presented at the
company's annual Holiday Party in December.
Everyone waits all evening for
Mike Rosson, Executive Vice
President, to make the
announcement. Our Employee
of the Year for 2009 - Teodora
"Teddie" Magsino,
Accounting Manager.
Teddie
will be celebrating her 18th
anniversary with California
Supply in July; however, she has
been affiliated with the company
since 1978 when she came to this
country and started her first
job.
Teddie's family - husband, Pol;
son, Oliver; and daughter,
Jennifer, are very proud of her.
Keep up
the good work everyone - you
could be the person in this

Sales
Team of the Year 2009
and every year

Sombunya, Emby Searson, Sheldon Costin,
Zev Marantz, Sue Tio, Art Rosen, Maggie
Belknap, Wally Whitney, Missie Robinson,
and Craig Van Wagoner - unavailable at the
time the photo was taken was Barbara Price
Salesperson of
the Year is a very difficult to achieve
title. It's highly sought after,
and extremely elusive. Only one
person can win - and there were twelve people competing this year. The
criteria are exacting. Twice each
year our salespeople set down with the
Sales Manager and plan what they would
like to achieve for the year. The
numbers they choose must exceed the
numbers they did in the previous
year. This is a trying
exercise. The method used to track
the numbers is fair for everyone
involved. It offers a new
representative the same chance at the
title as a veteran.
This year we
are honoring the entire Sales Team here
at California Supply. They have all done
a great job. Between them, our
Sales Team has over 250 years of
experience! Three of our team has
been with us for over 30 years and four
for over 20 years. That's a lot of
experience and expertise under one roof.
Congratulations to
everyone on a
very good year and all your hard work.
